SHIRI MORDECHAY

Through out her teenage years, she had severe insomnia and so she stayed in bed passively. So she had all night by herself to battle with her demons in a state of alertness. She tried to disappear into fantasies in her mind.
Her work is ink paintings on paper; many pieces of paintings put together to make a whole piece. She think of them as fragments of brain imagery organizing itself into a story. The imagery are like stories and events, they become like the symbolic language of dreams and subconscious communication — movies of the mind traveling between inner dimensions.
